a werid light pattern because the halogen projecetors focuses more light where the HID version spreads light evenly across the road with a sharp cutoff. I did not adjust my lenses when I put the HID's in and it gives ZERO glare because the way they are aimed is relatively low angle stock, I think you can adjust the lense to aim a little higher because my light beam is usually is right underneath a front car's rear bumper where regular HID equpped cars (350z, s2000 and bmw e4) all aim higher (more light above the bumper and towards the trunk area) when parked at the same distance. The lense might have moved a little when i tried to install the thicker based bulb into the stock housing. another thing to consider if use Bernie's kit for now, and then if you want to do a retrofitt later then you can plug it in, that is what i thought but I dont know what kind of bulb base the regular E46 projectors use, could it be 9006 base or regular D2R base? Anyhow bernie's kit has the connectors that goes directly into the stock housing, so you might want to sorce those. But if you do decide to go this route, it should great output and light pattern
